For Homeopathic Practitioners

Samuel Hahnemann (1755 -1843)
"If I did not know for what purpose I was put here on earth
- to become better myself and as far as possible and to make
better everything around me that is within my power to improve
- I should have to consider myself as lacking very much in worldly
prudence to make known for the common good, even before my death,
an art which I alone possess, and which it is within my power
to make as profitable as possible by simply keeping it secret."
Opening paragraph of Samuel Hahnemann's Preface to "Chronic
Diseases".

Welcome to our practitioners' page. My name
is Mary Aspinwall, when I first started practising Homoeopathy,
in 1995, I was new to the area and something of an unknown quantity!
At that time many people had still no idea what Homeopathy was
and others thought it was 'some kind of herbalism'.
I saw one of my first tasks as creating
a forum where people could meet with me, informally and find
out more about what I did. I began by hiring a room at the local
hotel and giving an introductory talk. Then I went as a speaker
to any group that would have me! The interest in alternatives
to conventional treatment was immense and shortly after that
I began to run regular first aid / beginner's classes, charging
a fee of around $40 per person for a ten hour course.
The classes proved to be very popular and in the beginning many
of my clients came (directly or indirectly) from them. The students
were given the option to buy remedy kits and books and nearly
all of them did so. Of course nowadays there are a host of wonderful
books that guide people through self-prescribing, but it can
be very reassuring to meet regularly with a group and explore
the philosophy and intricacies of this great therapy together.
It also helps self-prescribers to identify what sort of complaints
are suitable for them to treat and which might benefit from
a full consultation.
If you run, or are thinking of running, a first-aid or introductory
homeopathic course please feel free to use any of my materials
for this purpose. Just click on An
Introduction to Homeopathy.
If you have material that you are equally happy to share please
e-mail it to us together with your name (for copyright purposes)
and we may include it later on this page.
If you would like to place a bulk order for
kits or books for your students, e-mail us with the number you
need and we will give you a discounted price.
