Homeopathy and First Aid

Using Homeopathy for First Aid is easy

Using Homeopathy for a First aid situation is usually very easy, because nearly all of us react in a very similar way to injuries. If you or I are silly enough to walk into a wall we will both get a bruise. For this reason it is often possible to say for injury “A” homeopathic medicine “B” will be of help and greatly reduce your discomfort and healing time. It’s very easy to spot a “SNAP”…

The greatest first aid remedy in Homeopathy is Arnica. It helps to reduce bruising, and also alleviates the shock associated with a physical trauma. The only danger with Arnica is that its reputation as a miracle cure means people try to use it for everything!

For best results you need to remember that a remedy is only truly homeopathic if it can produce a similar pattern of suffering in a healthy person. For example, my daughter was stung by a wasp once and I automatically gave her Apis 30c. This is made from bee sting and often works well for wasp stings, too.

It did not help her at all, so I asked her to tell me exactly what the pain was like. She said it was very severe and shooting up her arm. It was then I realised the sting had hit a nerve and she needed Hypericum. Hypericum was tested on healthy volunteers (called provers) and they go shooting nerve pains. That is how we know it is a great remedy for this type of pain. I gave it to her and it worked in seconds. Think of it if you trap a finger in a door, stub your toe or bash your elbow or tailbone. It works like a charm.

I repeated Hypericum 30c whenever the pain returned over the next few hours, but by that evening all was well and there was no trace of swelling or discomfort left.

Homeopathy is based on a natural law that always works. To be a really successful with Homeopathy you have to learn to always play snap with the symptoms and match them as precisely as you can to the most similar homeopathic medicine. The great thing about having your Starter Kit is you have a big range of first aid choices on hand and your Guide will help you choose exactly the right remedy.

I carry Arnica to all my son’s sporting events. During the first football game of his freshman year in highschool, he injured his right thumb. He was taken out of the game and I could see the swelling begin. I had him take Arnica every 20-30 minutes or whenever he felt the swelling was causing more discomfort. By morning there was no swelling or bruising but he was unable to bend the thumb. A trip to the hand specialist (my son is right handed and also plays varsity golf) says, “We will xray but there is no way it is broken because there is no swelling or bruising.” It WAS broken and the doctor casted him fingers to elbow on his dominant hand. I gave Mary a call and she recommended 2 remedies, each to be taken daily for one week. At week 3 my son was to have a cast change and I requested an xray; the doctor reluctantly agreed but said it wouldn’t make any difference as it would be 8 weeks to healing and the break was a season-ending injury. Xray revealed complete healing, cast was removed and son returned to full-contact football with splint for support. The doctor said, “You sure are a fast healer” and when I tried to explain what was used he looked at me like I was an alien! My son and I just smiled, said thank you and enjoyed the rest of a great football season. Thank you Mary for my son’s “first aid” help and for our continuing constitutional work. Cathy

What a wonderful story this is. Thanks for sharing it with us all, Cathy. For the record I gave Cathy’s son Calc phos in an “x” potency in the morning for seven days, then Symphytum (commonly called Knit Bone) also in an “x” potency in the evenings for the same seven days.
Since breaking a bone is not that common these remedies are not in the kits, but you can buy them from any good homeopathic pharmacy. Any “x” potency between 12x and 30x will work well.

I stubbed my big toe really bad this summer playing soccer barefoot. My whole foot was bruised and sore. I thought it was broken and was hobbling around the house. Mary treated me and the swelling and pain subsided shortly after. Thanks Mary my big toe hurts no more.

The most miraculous cure I ever saw was done with homeopathy. I happened to be babysitting and my granddaughter got her finger caught in a door that I was trying to shut. You never heard such screams. I thought I might have crushed her finger. I ran to the family ‘pharmacy’ drawer and pulled out a HYPERICUM and stuck a tablet in her mouth. I swear within seconds of sucking on the tablet tongue, she stopped screaming and began to play with something else. I was totally taken aback. It was like the incident never happened. And, there was no swelling, no after-damage, nothing. That certainly hooked me.
